My wife and I have been living in homes of Clarendon House Care Group for the past 4 years, presently we are at Bannister’s Bungalow at 9A Old Howick Road. Both of us were hospitalised and could no longer live independently. We contacted Vicki Bannister back in the day for help and have been extremely well looked after, collecting us from Hospital, taking us to the care home, even assisted with moving our personal effects which made the transition easier and comfortable. Vicki has been helpful and supportive in every respect. Always caring and compassionate with friendly and well trained staff. I can with great certainty recommend any care home where she managers.

We as a family wish to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the way in which you and your staff have manged and cared for our aged parents. We understand that they are very demanding and not easily pleased. They also come from a back round and a past history of a life and a lifestyle more privileged than most. This makes them more decerning than is reasonable and difficult to handle. All of us have asked them on a repeated basis if they are happy with the food, standard of care, decor, standard of furnishings, atmosphere of the establishment, the overall management of the facility and the friendliness of the staff. Their repeated replies concerning all of the above are all very positive and complimentary. This is no mean feat on your part. This has resulted in our email of grateful thanks, you certainly go above and way beyond a normal expectation. Please convey our thanks and appreciation to your staff as well.

My Dad lived with us for 6 years and last year, at the age of 97, his mobility suddenly deteriorated. We considered two options – to employ a carer or to move him into a care home? It was his decision to opt for a care home and we looked into a number of places in PMB. When I arrived at Inman Place I just knew we had found the right home! He has been there for nearly a year and has received the best care from Zola and her team of kind and friendly carers. Vicki and her staff have blessed us with peace of mind and made Dad’s transition to frail care as painless as possible. My family and I extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in Dad’s care, and I want all the staff to know how important their work is to us. I hope they all continue to bless more families with their special care.

I would like to express my gratitude for the care and love that Vicki and the staff have given my mum. At first when we called Vicki, she immediately felt our concern about my mum having the best care since we are all overseas and she was in South Africa. Vicki understood the importance of my mum being safe and cared for. She immediately made a room available and started preparing for my mums arrival. My mum needed palliative care treatment and she was really fragile. The nurses gave her the utmost respect even at a time when my mum was not able to acknowledge it. They allowed us to video call them, so that we could see my mum even when she was not able to see us. They kept us informed of her treatments, took her to the hospital for her visits, requested a doctor if needed, provided her with a special diet that she required, went over and beyond duty/job. I was at total peace knowing that she was in the best care with people who put their heart into their work. I will definitely recommend Clarendon house to anyone needing people to take care of their loved ones. It was the most difficult time for us but Vicki and her staff was there till the end of time for my mum. God Bless you all.
